Vintage Buck Knives Grand Slam Limited Edition , 4 Knives And Belt Buckle Are Number 1947. Model Knife Is 501,Drop Point. Blade Material 425 M Stainless Steel. Imprinted On Blade, Buck 501, U.S.A. On Other Side Is 1947. Etching Is by Aurum On Both Sides. (1) Ivory Micarta Handle Etched Dall Sheep On One Side, The Other Side Are Two Dall On Side Of Mountain. (2) Dark Hardwood Handle Etched Stone Sheep On One Side, The Other Side Mountain Scene. (3) Rosewood Handle Etched Bighorn Sheep, The Other Side Mountain Scene. (4) Desert Wood Handle Etched Desert Sheep, The Other Side Mountain Scene.(5) Brass Belt Buckle Size 3 1/2" x 2 1/4", Etched With 4 Sheep, Grand Slam, Buck Knives Limited Edition 1947. I'd say you got a great deal! I have never seen the complete set...paperwork, display box for less. Congrats!
 
That is a very nice set. The deep etched Aurum knives are very special. Your set looks brand new. Did you pay the right price? The only person that can really answer that is you. In my opinion you got a Great price and a wonderful set of knives.

I thought the price I paid is good but few people discouraged me saying stuff
 
I passed on a set for 350.00 and have been kicking myself ever since...if that helps...
 
Look farm don't second guess yourself. You were happy to pay what you did or it would be still for sale to someone else. I have wanted one of those sets for a long time. I have seen the prices go up and down often, when they are low I always want something else more.

Why ask once its done.
I have been on the look out for it myself and that is as low as I have seen it.
Look at it like this, that is less than $90 ea, if they were made today i seriously doubt you could get them for that.

The reason I asked is to get the opinion of experts like your self
 
Yes you did well with that..Shipping is easily $20.00 If you put them in rotation for DUC (dress up carry) that set will last a lifetime.
 
Did you pay the right price?

If you and the seller are happy with the deal, I'd say "yep."
 
Money spent..:p Isnt this really too late...;) As long as you are happy!!:D:D

Whoa, Whoa, I am no expert by any stretch.
My point was it's a little late to be concerned whether or not you paid the right price.
My late cousin (30yrs my senior) once told me, It doesn't matter what you paid, it was a good deal if both parties agreed on it.
 
I don’t know if the seller was happy
I sure was till some people started to say negative about it
