Did I tell all of y'all???? Pic?

And I've met some really interesting family on line before, so guess this isn't "too" much of a surprise to me.
Really good to see you here Great Granny.:)

Hey Great Grandpa,
You probably don't remember me but I met you at Bo's wedding. I am Rachel's mother-in-law.

Please excuse my boldness, but I also must correct your description of our Rachel as being sissified, or prissified, as you so eloquently put it. I would not consider her either, I believe she could hold her own in any situation she would happen to find herself in. I have found her to be very strong and capable. She is a wonderful daughter-in-law.

Oh well, I think I have said enough. Congratualtions great grandpa.
We surely do have a beautiful grand-daughter, huh?

You're right, I don't remember you, but as you know there was a ton of people there, let alone the twenty tons of family.:)

I know Rachel can hold her own in many situations, but unless Aaron has trained Rachel in some areas she is still very much prissified.
Sissified was the wrong word and why I went back and clarified what I said. (I believe Rachel would go down fighting if it ever came to that.)
And the reason I say that is because of something Rachel told me herself, something like, "Grandpa I have been sheltered all my life and I really don't want to know everything there is out in the world of today."
And I know Sam sheltered and protected her from the real world.
There's situations where I really doubt Rachel's ability to hold her own. I know she's a tuff little gal, but sometimes being "tuff" just ain't enough. Let alone Rachel being so petite.
I'm really, really glad that Rachel has a young man the size and strength Aaron appears to have to continue to protect Rachel from the real world!!!!
I still wish Rachel had the highest degree of black belt one could have in the martial arts though.:D
She's also a wonderful grand daughter.:)

QUOTE]"Yes you are correct when you assumed Aaron may have guns and knives. You were incorrect in the assumption that he has them hidden away somewhere. He is very vocal about his belief in the 2nd amendment"[/QUOTE]

Dayum!!!! Sometimes it's really wonderful when you have confirmation and find out you're wrong!!!!:D
And I'm really glad to hear that!!!!
As I said, "I don't know her daddy that well since I only met him once."
Now if and when they get by here I will get to show Aaron my "little" collection of knives and guns. Aaron can ooh and aaww over them while I do the same to my great grand daughter:D

Quite. And congratulations to you Great Granny!!!!

Yup, on that we can always agree.:D

My e-mail is listed both in my profile and in my sig line. Please feel free to e-mail me anytime.
That's where this exchange would have been best made IMO.:D

Bro about the "bow tie." That's a disguise as I wear only bolos and bear claw necklaces.
And the size of the "lap" is "about right", perhaps even a little to large on the bear, as my "lap" has all but disappeared.;-)

And Tsimi how do you know Chloe is being quiet? She's got her mouth open don't she? Takes right after her G'Grandpa!!!! :-D

And Dave I was expecting to be a G'grandpa long before this, after all I was made a grandpa at the ripe old age of 34!!!!
Can you imagine?!?!?!?!?
But I expected to be made a g'grandpa by my grand son first. And I'm sure glad he didn't live up to what I half way expected!!!! :-)

Isn't life amazing?

I am having trouble imagining my daughter going to pre-school, and Yvsa has a brand new GREAT grand daughter!!

Couldn't be happier for you Yvsa:) :)

I wish I had the good fortune to know my grandparents--all but my mom's mom were dead and gone by the time I showed up (and my grandma that was alive was very senile). Oh well, it all goes with having older parents I suppose.

Your grandkids are very lucky to have a grandpa and a GREAT grandpa around to teach them things, and even luckier that its someone like you:)

The little princess is lucky to have not just a great grand daddy but a "great" great grand daddy.

My own Dad is a great grand daddy about ten times and if he keeps on going he's going to move into the great great grand daddy category -- 89,lives alone, cooks, does all housework and home maintenance, grows a garden, still smoking a carton of cigs per week and pipe at night, eating a couple of eggs and bacon or sausage everyday, drinking 10 or 12 cups of coffee and still making guitars. He's going to outlive us all.

The secret to long life? Genes, genes, genes...

I think you can help alot with lifestyle, but folks like your dad Uncle Bill prove that genes play a HUGE part in our lifespans!!

Welcome to the HI forum, Caviezel_fan. and congratulations to both you and Yvsa. She's a real cutie!

It's good to hear that both her Mom and Dad like good tools (and weapons). Chloe is a little young for a khukuri yet, but when she gets a little older, she'll need to learn how to take care of sharp objects.

Hope to see you around more, Caviezel_fan. Don't be a stranger. Around here nobody's a stranger. (Or is that supposed to be that there's nobody stranger?:))

Bow-tie nothing - that's an unusual ribbon shirt, right Yvsa?

Congratulations to both you and fan. Bout time Barb had a little help now and then making Yvsa toe the line.

And fan, the Cantina has been kinda dull lately with everything going on. So don't hesitate to pipe in when you got something to say.

( Yvsa, I think maybe ya better bribe this one right quick! )

Yvsa,
Congratulations!!! She's definitely a "keeper". We've got number 7 due next April! We figure that our kids can take care of us when we get old and decrepid. The more that we have, the less of a burden we'll be on them, they can just ship us around from one place to the next. If we hit 12, they'll only have to put up with us for a month each per year. Payback will be fun!

Regards,

Rob

Thanks to everyone who welcomed me.

I must admit though I don't really know very much about knives or Himalayan Imports. My son called me and told me to look up this site because there was a picture of Chloe on it posted by Rachel's grandfather. So I did, and then I felt compelled to reply. I haven't met Chloe yet, but she is going to be here in 2 weeks. Like I told Rachel's grandfather, this is my first grandchild, so anything about her is very exciting for me. Oh well, I won't bore you anymore. Please forgive me for butting in to your discussions about knives and Himalayan Imports when I am so apparently ignorant of these subjects.

Have a wonderful week,
Emily/Caviezel_fan

We have a few ladies that post here once in a while and us rough and tuff ol' boys sometimes need a ladys presence to keep us in
line.;)
But we can also be thankful that we're not all under the old Cherokee Law where the society was wholly matriarchial or we'ud all be in deep, deep trouble all the time!!!!:)
That's one reason the Cherokee men were known as some of the most fierce warriors ever known.
It was actually easier to go on the warpath in the middle of winter than it was puttin' up with the Cherokee Grandmothers.:D:D:D:D

Good Lord Uncle Bill! How old ARE you?!;) :p

Sorry couldn't resist that one, besides I don't think I've ever teased you before--there's a "first" for everything ya know;) :D :D
