I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness of mine. Right around 1/8" or so. (That's not exact mind you, I don't have calipers or anything like that.)

I got mine today.

Obviously it needs a handle wrap, like any similar knife. I'll probably wind up giving it a double layer wrap like I did to my BK14. I think the half-moon area where your index finger goes needs to be further up the handle so it starts right after the sharpening choil. All-in-all, it's a cool knife.
