Did You know...

Cool, never seen a place selling spikes before.

J... I'll have to admit your spike knives are the coolest ive ever seen, and there's no novelty-factor with them when they are paired with a Tess sheath!

Hey Jeff, why didn't you stop and see me? Uvalde is only 70 miles from Del Rio! I have the yellow pre-fab metal building about 3 miles East of Uvalde with logs all over the place.

Hey Robert, you have no idea how much miss Texas these days. I'm going to have to see if I can wrangle a trip down there soon. Any knife shows going on in or around San Antonio this winter?

Humm...not that I know of Jeff. There's one in Austin in August, then the Mesquite show. I'm not sure there's ever been anything in SA, I could be wrong. If you make it to Texas, you better come see me though. Every time I buy a new tool, I tell my wife that you "inspired" me to buy it. She want to meet you really bad, don't know why :D (Next purchase will be a forging hammer, Japanese style, as soon as Fitzo finds me a good, honest source).

I'm hoping Chuck Robinson of Mississippi will be making them soon, again, Robert. I've held his hammers and love the balance. He's just built a 90 ton press to make heavy stuff, including his awesome bladesmith's anvils. When he contacts me that he's back making them, I'll let you know.

Also, Don Halter from Bryant/College Station, TX, is planning on making some. I'm hoping we can get him to sell a few!

I contacted both Bill Fiorini and Ric Furrer, other makers of this style hammer. They didn't deign to even answer the email, so I won't "bother" them again.
