I spent mine in central Florida at Downtown Disney :thumbdn: It took well over an hour to get there from 10 minutes away  The works lasted all of ten minutes (on the outside) :grumpy: and we were stranded until 230 am until we could get out  BUT, my beautiful daughter got engaged at the event while the bombs were bursting in the air  it was awesome at that point :thumbup::D

Lets put the American Flag back up at the end of the weekend, so here goes:

You patriotism is appreciated, but those "assets" are a bit more than some folks hearts could bare. :)

For almost 20 years, I've wandered across the street to a knoll in the Crossroad's Mall parking lot and watched the fire works at Folsum field.

Two years ago they knocked down the mall, and rebuilt it the "29th St shopping district" :barf: I wanted a park, and there is/was no 29th street, but parks don't generate sales tax revenues, so the city decided on a new mall

Grabbed a milkshake and sundae from the Macky D's and wandered up.

There's a foo foo restaurant sitting on my old spot:eek:, but they left the tables & chairs out on the patio, and they left the music on. Cool. My daughter, her fiance and some of their friends were already there.

Made for a nice time, and I was sure to warn the others who'd stumbled into my secret

"See ya next year, and DON'T tell your friends"

:D
