Ok.. we all got lots of Gifts! Did your knife cut the mustard? I am talking about the hidious plastic that some gifts come in. You know.. the tough stuff! My knives performed flawlessly! How did yours do.?

Can't beat a SE Spydie Cricket for slicing through blister packs and tape, plus it's so light you don't even notice it, even while wearing PJ pants. I had to clap myself on the back for that purchase. On another positive note it scared the crap out of my dad when I passed it to him to open a package. :D

Keep it rolling in.! I am learning.!! I used a carbon steel Opinel & just for grins used My Mora blades. All sliced through this tough plastic $hit without breaking a sweat.!! I really like to know what else will cut this crud.!!

I used my Aaron Frederick flipper. It just happened to be the knife I grabbed off my dresser, probably because I had carried it Friday. Worked great cutting through paper, plastic, cardboard, etc.

no twistie ties today, so the buck tac-lite did the tape cutting with aplomb.

I used my little Kershaw Chive and it did really well with the blister packs and even those plastic coated wire ties. I've had the knife for years and I'm always impressed at how well it handles the tasks I need it for even though it's so small and is made with less than optimal steel. Plus it doesn't frighten children and sheeple.

Yep, all my presents and some for others were quickly opened by my Boker Congress pattern with carbon blades.

My Leatherman Super Tool worked great. The knife cut through everything it was asked too, the pliers made short work of all of the plastic covered twisted metal wires holding the kids' toys and the philips screwdriver opened/closed all battery covers. Couldn't have had a better tool for the job!

My Lonewolf did T-2 had it's usual performance...AWESOME!!!

Which is a good thing, cause the second knife I've had at hand all morning has been the Bark River Golok she got me for Christmas....Don't nobody want me to have to use that one to open toys.....:D

I was the only one with a knife at my family gathering, so yes, my Large Classic Sebenza made me the most popular person there.

I used my 110 to split open a giant box with a water cooler and built in fridge. Me and my dad both have bad backs and no one could pull it out without some kinda injury. One long swipe down the side and it peeled right open.

I killed a few blister packs with it too.

My only 110 did several minor tape cuttings and a blister pack. This evening I came close.... Working on a sheath for my Seaward sword, tilted it in such a way as the sword began to slide out... ALMOST reached for it...That would have open something up.

My BM 550 Griptilian sliced most stuff Ok. I however made the mistake of cutting about 4 of those metal wire ties that are coated with clear plastic.

Ruined the $hit out of the edge on that 550 with 440C. Made me pretty mad but I guess I am not supposed to cut wire ties.

Here at home, my trusty old REKAT Hobbit Fang cut through everything I had to cut open, and "on the road", my Benchmade 805 TSEK did the job very well, and even made my mom lightly freak-out when I whipped that monster folder out to do it's work on the packages...(Maybe I shouldn't have flip-snapped it open, as she thought it was a "gangster switchblade"...LOL...).:D.

Large family reunion at my mother in law's place, when presents began to be passed out somebody asked me for my knife and when I took out the old Barlow she said: "don't you have one with scissors?", so I took out my Victorinox Huntsman which ended up being passed around to all adults in the family and the scissors were the only blade they used, I did use the Barlow on my presents though.

My Mcusta only had to cut some packaging tape and plastic wrap (no hard clamshells), but it did so with ease thanks to VG-10 and did so in style.
