Did Your Knife Cut it for Christmas Day

Cutting ties, slicing clamshells, unscrewing, screwing, popping tops, a little light prying, and writing- yep, my Victorinox Compact, Rambler, and Benchmade Griptilian all performed admirably!

every year for the last 5 christmas i hear "does anyone have a knife".. used to be a AFKC then a lum spiderco. now i got to abuse my new SOG topo meridian.. those plastic coated wire twist ties that are verrrryyy thick.. the knife cut them w/ no problem.. i was expecting to have a severly nicked blade.. well not a one. it is dull in spots but no damage..

My mother was having trouble trying to slice the turkey with very, very, very dull kitchen knife, so I took her place and sliced it with my IKBS Skirmsh... ;)
Other than that, I cut a lot of paper and Christmas wraps with my ZDP Caly Jr. and used a SAK to install batteries on the children's toys.

My EDC got the call; a Benchmade Pinnacle for opening most items, and my Leatherman Surge for installing batteries in some of the kids' stuff. Also used the pliers to unwind some heavy wire on a gift for my daughter.

Ok.. we all got lots of Gifts! Did your knife cut the mustard?

My BM Mini Skirmish handled all 2 dozen of my daughters new goodies sealed in double plastic.....and retained a razors edge doing so, I love S30V. Oh and I got to use my BM blue tool kit to open up battery housings. I was very prepared to say the least. Hope everyone had as much luck and a Merry/Happy whatever you celebrate. PGH~

Benchmade 806 for all the plastic, tape, etc... SOG paratool for the screws, and to let everyone else use. I cheated and used a small set of wire cutters for the plastic coated wires...I just couldn't take a blade to them this year.
