Didi you read that thread about how to properly unsheath a khukury?

Well, I did not, but after this nasty cut in my left index finger, I will never forget how to do it correctly.
But the two villagers I bough from terry sisko are not less nicer due to this and perfectly fill my need for bone handled khuks in my collection.
Also, the sheath that came with one of them 9made by Terry's wife) is very neat and they are great to do business with.

Ivan,
I was wondering if you got the khukuris ok.
Definetly be careful when you draw a khukuri as most of them will bite when they get a chance. Time to stock up on band aids.

I haven't spoken to the HI Safety Officer about this, so of course it isn't official unless he so decrees, but it seems to me that the penalty for such a serious infraction of the safety code should be the donation of a kukhri to our HI Research Department (ably headed by Jim).

I guess the only question would be is if ignorance is any excuse.

Pianoman, that would be a good idea, except I figure that it should go to me first so that Jim doesn't accidentally committ harikari on this khukuri.

Fortunatelly, my 18th Century was already arriving here otherwise you guys probably would stop Uncle Bill from sending it to me!
Ok, I have whipped myself witha a sheathed khuk for punishment.
Much to my displeasure, my brother did not cut himself too, even though I left the khukuri sheathe din a place I was sure he would not realize the sheath was cut open, so no I have noone else to call dumb...
