Greetings fellow BF'ers! I am truly sorry to have been away from my barely discernable moderating duties for so long. Apparently one has to be a personal friend of Gov. Ventura's to get a DSL or cable web server here. After 6 weeks, we gave up and went dial-up, for now. I have already been fortunate enough to meet some really cool knife knuts and fellow forumites here in Minne-freaking-sota, as the locals call it. I have been trying to catch up and the goings-on here. It seems that the events of 09/11/01 have brought our community closer together, as it has our nation. It is my sincerest hope that this trend continues through the tough times ahead.

Somebody is going to get on me for lack of knife content here. I tried the new Michrotech Ultratech at the Safe and Knife store. It is the Bees Knees:)

David- if you ever get near the Duluth, MN. area, please look me up. Lots of sharp, pointy things to play with! We had a MN. knife-knuts meeting last year, small turnout, but some incredible knives were there. Could be we need to have another meeting soon!:)

So, I take it that you like the Ultratech? I'm not interested in getting one but am interested in seeing one for myself.

If you haven't realized it by now, I'm sure you soon will, but you realize of course that this is not the best time of year to move to Minnesota?

Get your cord wood stacked up and stock the pantry, it's going to be a COLD winter this year!

It's good to see you're back, even if it is with a dialup.

Good to see you at the SECKS. Darn your hide, when you sold me that Mike Snody neck knife you started me down the never-ending road to Custom Knife Addiction. Bought 2 fixed blade hunters at the show. Now I want a Jerry Hossum fighter and a Tom Anderson Folder. Just like a dope dealer, give 'em the first dose at a good price and they're hooked from then on.:D

Welcome to Minnesota! Hope you enjoy the leaf change. This is my favorite time of the year. Next year, be sure to head up the North Shore around the first week of October and you will see the best leaf change in the Country. I live about an hour north of Richard, so if you get to Duluth, drop us both a line and we can knock a few back.

Man, I just found this thread. Welcome back David! We miss you here in NC. I got to check out an ultratech today at Becks. They are super cool. I have got to get me one of those :D

Welcome back David!!! I remember every time I've moved because it takes about a year to get everything straightened out. Good seeing you at SECKS. Wishing you the best in your new (temporary?) home.
