Didn't need it but.......

Heres the Cold Steel with a few others for the people that don't like Cold Steel.
Blade Tech Rijbak, ZT0200, Kershaw XXL Starky, OSS Cold Steel, Spyderco Starmate, Benchmade AFCK, Mircotech Scom '98.

How do you like the XXL Starkey Ridge? I'm a fan.

Jill, I was just kidding. You obviously have good taste in knives, and don't need me to tell you that anyhow. Thanks for the info on the MT. That's what I thought it would be. A good steel. I have a MT OTF double action with 154cm and they do it well. I like the Socom better because I can carry it here without worries.

Do you have a favorite? That G10 ( I think) handled Spyderco police plain edge is one of the rarer knives you have from what I see. They all look to be nice condition.

I can't post any pictures of my stuff as my ex wife took the camera with her and I don't feel like it's a priority to replace right now. I'm pretty much carrying the Socom, Endura in ZDP, Millie, Caly 3 ZDP, and a Kershaw Blur SG2. Those seem to be my most carried ones, so I guess they'ed be my favorites now. See ya. Joe

I like the build of the Blade Tech Rijbak, it's very solid and well fitted, the smooth opening of the Dejavoo, Kershaw XXL Starkey and the Junkyard Dog. The new ZT 0200 is a nice knife, too. But really I'm more a collector and like them all for some reason or I wouldn't have them.

CarbonV is one of my favourite blade steels ,I think you got a good deal and if you decide you want your 45$ back PM me.

I found a carbon V SRK in the same case for 30 and I bought a Bush Ranger once in carbon V from Cold Steel (still have them both unused like 95% of my knives) and they sent me a second by mistake. So I called them and was rather upset as I'd had it on back order a long time. They sent me a new knife and refunded my money! I don't know if it was a mistake or not but the knife wound up free. I did send the second back.
That OSS is a deadly fast knife and razor sharp on both edges. You wouldn't be at a disadvantage defending your life with it for sure.

Well, I damn sure wouldn't volunteer to have someone carve me up with it. I've seen what prison made shanks, pencils, razor knives and little things can do. A large dedicated fighting knife is a scary thing in the hands of a reasonably competant user. Concealed double edges, and bowies are illegal here for that reason. I can get a pistol permit though. Go figure!

Jill, I've been waiting for that particular lightfoot designed Blade tech to come in for awhile. I've got a blade tech MLEK, and Mouse, so I know how well made they are. It was a good find on your part. They're still scarce. Joe

Those sprint run Militarys are selling well so far. Most that have them in hand now are with people that preordered them. The knifecenter is the first one to advertise them for everybody after filling their list of preorders so their initial shipment must have been large.

I don't know how much better the CPMized D2 will be over the regular D2. The CPMized CPM154cm is better than 154cm, but not enough to get exited about. Knifemakers like it better because it finishes better, and they can get it about 1 point higher on the RC scale. For me as a user I see very little difference. We'll see how the CPM D2 works out, and how much better than regular D2 it is.

Sometime later this year Spyderco will be coming out with a CPM90V military sprint run. That should be a must have. S90V is incredible stuff and in the military it should be very well made and affordable. I'm looking foreward to it.

It sounds like your father is a decent guy and a fellow knifeknut. That Blade Tech a nice present! Joe
