I'm new to the Busse world, and I was wondering what is the differences, positives, negatives between the FFBM and FBMLE?? pics would be cool too. Thanks All!!

Same thickness: 0.32 inches.

FFFBM = Sabre grind
FBMLE = Full-height grind

Thanks lunde!! I just drooled on my keyboard...

Would there be any +'s or -'s between the two as far a performance goes??

I have both- and both are sweet. I believe that the FFBM is a bit heavier, as it has a saber grind rather than full flat. I honestly haven't been able to tell much of a difference in terms of performance. The LE is cooler, because it's satin, but they're both pretty amazing knives. Can't go wrong with either. :thumbup:

And there are no such things as -'s with these guys. They're as good as it gets.

It's a preference thing. Some don't like the coated finishes as much. I believe the handles on the LE are possibly smoother, but someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong. Don't forget to look at the NMFBMLE also. It's not as thick as these, but it's longer.

FBMLE 30.3 oz. 0.312
FFBM 31.4 oz. 0.32
the price of the LE is almost double for a satin finish and a special #
:)

Make sure you do a thread search too. Lots of FBM threads with good info. I think they are pretty close in performance. It just boils down to which one is more attractive to you. The sexy LE, or that hott saber grind. :foot::o:D

My FFBM Le came with a swedge, my FFBM didn't. Although the weight difference between the two is slight, my FFBM Le feels significantly lighter/faster in hand than my FFBM's.

My FBMLE's are .325" and my FFBM's are.312".
It seems these measurements get mixed up a lot.
But the FBMLE's are fatter, with a full height grind.
The FFBM's are heavier due to the saber grind.
The sites that show the spec's have the two mixed up.

Thanks Hogs!! That's what I hopped to hear... I've got FBMLE for staring at and I'm getting a FFFBM for beatin!! I like the idea of the lighter CGFBM, but the corrigations turn me off... Besides I like my choppers to be tanks!!

Don't discount CG FBM chopping ability.

True, they are beasts. CGFBM's don't wedge as easily and tightly as FFBM's because of the corrugations, something to keep in mind. The corrugations may look unappealing to some, but they add to the overall function of the knife. Personally, I'll take function over form the majority of the time. Get all three... a CGFBM, FFBM and FFBM Le.:D
