Difference between FFBM/FBMLE

this is a picture of my ffbm.........

That's a nice one!!!!

yeah, that's my baby :D......... anyway.......... nobody answered me....... the saber grind is stronger or the LE?
I don't care if the difference is small, just tell what is stronger.....

While I can't say for sure... I would have to imagine
that more steel (saber) = more lateral strength.

But I say go for the 2008 FBM SE. : D

ok, I would, but WHERE WILL I FIND SOMEONE WHO SELLS IT'S 2008 SE? :(
but the LE is flat or convex?

There is one (with beveled clip point) for sale in the exchange right now.
Paired with a smaller blade as a set... but it one of the few with beveled clip that I've seen. ;)
Oh... and these (as well as the 2007 SEs) are .270" thick.

And so far, all FBMs are flat, saber or CBT.
Well... with the exception of the NMFBMs... they are all full convex from what I've seen.

.

FBMLE 30.3 oz. 0.312
FFBM 31.4 oz. 0.32
the price of the LE is almost double for a satin finish and a special #
:)

if you get a ffbm with standard scales and the fbmle with saber scales, that 1.4oz represents a noticable shift in balance towards the handle on the fbmle. the le is very neutral in the handle, where as the ffbm feels like your holding a billet of iron. if you want an every day chopper that won't wear your forearm down to fast, the fbmle. if you want the most weight possible in a small package for chopping power, ffbm.

I'm not speaking highly of myself when I say that I'm a strong guy......:D so, I don't mind 1 or two oz in more....... especially because I already have an ffbm saber grind (the heaviest and thickest one) (it weights 33.1 oz) and it doesn't seem that heavy to me, I'm a bit frightned that the other fbm's may be TOO light........ trust me when I say that I want the strongest busse ever. (which means the stronger BLADE EVER), so I cannot prefer the 0.25 thick blades, even if they are way better to see........ I just want the stongest and thicker blade possible.

The FFBM, although slightly blade heavy, is my favorite chopper !
