Hello,Im new to Spyderco but have been interested in the Native line. Can someone explain the Native line? Pictures might help. Thanks

You might want to look at this page and this one, on my website. Between the two of them they cover pretty much all the Natives except the two tan ones available only to active duty military.

The Native FRN is made in Golden, CO and has S30V blade.

There is also a stainless steel handled version that has a VG-10 blade; made in Japan.

Then there is the Native III which has a much thicker FRN handle and fancier ergonomic shape - it is a comfy handle. This one is made in Japan with VG-10 blade, and also has a nice wire clip. The swedge grind is a little different on this one than the US-made version.

Personal favorite is the Golden Native with either serrations or not depending on your preference. I like the thinner handle compared to the III, S30V at a low price, and made in Golden.

Thanks for all the info. The two replys have been a great help in explaining the Native line.I think the one for me is the C41BK.I like the thinner handle. If I had another question it would be about blade steel.VG10 vs CPM-S30V.I have read about blade chipping and wondering about both steels. Are they a brittle blade? Thanks.
