Difference between SJs

If it's just personal preference then it's allright...
I also wonder if SJLE are the only ones with thicker blade, i.e. 0.220 or is it possible find a "standard" SJ with thicker blade too?

There are a couple of "specials" that were made from the LE rejects:

Holy YOWZA!!!!! We don't have many of these. . . .These are made from Limited Edition Satin Jack Tacs that didn't give us a perfect clean-up on the flats of the ricasso or pommel. There may be some errant grind marks and/or left over "pores" in these areas. . . These of course have no affect on performance and would have been easily hidden by any type of coating. . We are offering these with the Double Cut finish because the demand for this finish was remarkable. . . It features a .225" thick full height, hand ground blade with Snake Skin Micarta handles. . . .

Ought to be quite a fight to get one of these as we have very few!!!

To the best of my knowledge, none of the coated blades was of thicker stock.
