I was wondering if there is a difference in the old style (with plastic clip) and the 2 newer styles of delicas, I have both and the older one looks like it has a shorter blade...

Also is there any extra value for the older ones because they are the old style ones? (with plastic clip)?

Hope that makes sense...Thanks

The old style Delica had a slightly shorter blade.

The newer model uses ATS-55 for the blade steel. The older Delicas had AUS-8 and GIN-1 blades.

I believe there were also minor changes in the locking mechanism.

As for increased value, I really doubt it. This wasn't a limited production model (aside from some of the non-black handle models, which would have more collector value).

Hi Mmtmatrix. There were 5 changes maded to the old style Delica before making the new mold. The new model has a different: pattern, clip (metal & reversible), steel, handle texture and lock.

I don't think the older versions will have value unless they were an odd color (we made them in red and OD green).
