Differences between different years or models of Spyderenches

I'm about to buy a Spyderench. Someone mentioned to me that changes were made during the production of Spyderenches...can anyone help me out here? Are there preferable years?

I heard that the designer of the SpydeRench is selling them on EBay.

He is indeed doing that. They tend to go for around $100-$130 - a bit steep for my pocket unfortunately.
