The sheepsfoot and spey are a bit different too. Looks like I had one of the "different" ones at one time. The picture of the one in with the wooden box was taken on 4/20/2009. I only have the Herman Williams 61OT now.
Wonder if this odd man out was made by Camillus by chance. The "thinner" blades resemble a Camillus 69 stockman.
The first thing I noticed was a difference in the nail nick placement on the sheepfoot blade.
Looking more closely, I can see the entire frame is different. The bolstered ends are more slender on one, and the pin placement is different.
Now I have a mission:
Figure out which one I have,
Acquire the other.
The 61OT is the Old Timer that I'd be most likely to buy as a user. Just love the slender feel, long blades, and comfortable handle.
In my limited sample of 3, the blade differences correlated with production methods. One style had the Swinden pivot, the other was pinned in the usual fashion--and the blades were a match for my Camillus 69.
