Different CS hawks question

Now don't take my word for it, I don't own either of them. But from what I can gather the trail hawk seems to be preferred due to weight. As I understand it the Riflemans hawk is pretty top heavy where the trailhawk is pretty balanced.

I own both of them. Riflemans--heavy, but excellent for spliting wood for campfires, and pounding tent stakes. Took my riflemans camping this weekend, it was GREAT for around the camp chores. Trailhawk--lightweight, great to pack in the woods on a hike, or while hunting. Good for light duty stuff, and throwing. Trailhawk is DEFINATELY the one to pack with you for weight issues. In my opinion, both are a great value. Good luck, hope this helps.

the Trail Hawk is a true tomahawk head, weight-wise, IMHO.

the Rifleman's makes a fine Battle Axe or Forest Axe, especially with the big poll lopped off of it.
