Different Sheath for 110/111

I acquired one of the 111 Magnacut knives recently, however I would like a different sheath than the suede leather one that came with it. I'm thinking something different than the 50+ years old sheath that goes with my first 110. I like the worn black leather sheath with this older knife, just want something different for my 111.
Suggestions ?

Thread 'Sheath Makers and Such of Blade Forums'

Hello everyone! Its time to put up a revised list of Sheath Makers and Such (Such will be defined soon) The new rules for crafty people require a "Knife Maker, Craftsman, Service Provider" membership in order to sell and advertise your wares here. Sparks rule, not mine, just to clarify.

So, in order to list yourself here at this time you need to upgrade your membership level to Craftsman. The Upgrade is very cheap advertising, and also gives you permission to sell in the exchange as well.

I apologize for the stir up, but things change and evolve, and we think this is an evolution...

I'd like to get a custom leather sheath with a flap for my Custom Shop 110 (Magnacut, elk grips, nickle silver frame) but I haven't been able to locate one except some cheapo knockoffs on Etsy or Amazon. Either a snap or some other, innovative way of securing the flap would work, as long as it would make the knife secure; the open top sheaths are nice but I'd hate to reach back and find it empty. I currently carry it in the distressed brown leather sheath I ordered, which I took apart, worked in a couple coats of SnowSeal and restitched using a cobbler's stitch. Ain't classy but it's functional. I have a nylon sheath but while it's quite comfortable to carry, it doesn't do justice to the Custom Shop 110.
 
If you go on the big auction site and do a search for "Buck110 custom sheath" and you will see numerous options for pretty reasonable prices.
 
As mentioned, there are numerous options available for aftermarket 110 sheaths. Choosing the right one is a personal thing. Do you want a snap closure, or a slip style sheath that's open on one end and uses friction to hold the knife in? Vertical or horizontal? I use this horizontal carry slip sheath for my 110AE, and I love it.

The maker of my sheath isn't a Blade Forums vendor, but it can be found pretty easily on the big auction site. Good luck, hope this helps.
 
The horizontal sheaths look interesting, likely comfortable.
They must work reliably (not lose the knife), but I sure would hate to lose my 110 or 111..
