Different Thong Hole treatment for me

I have a customer that wants the thong hole in the extended tang, yet retain as much handle as possible. Here is what I did. Not too shabby. I kind of like it. He also wanted the tang to extend a hair so now it does :)

Kind of looks rough on the hand. I'd round it over a bit.

Other than that, looks pretty good.
 
Its far from finished. The extended tang will be grooved and the hole needs countersunk. The handle wont be squared off and will have loveless bolts for securing it.

I made a couple like that and the guy who bought them liked them alot. I think they are going to come out great.
 
it's pretty usual here to make this kind of job in knife for general use, altough i did it several times i prefer not.
