Hi folks,
I have a few available for sale today. Except for the karambit, these are in 80crv2. I'm impressed with it's toughness, and I would sat that it has medium edge retention (better than 5160, worse than 1095). I spent a good portion of an afternoon beating on one of these, had a hard time damaging the tip or the edge without resorting to really abusive behavior (concrete and steel!) The burnt oil finish is relatively durable for an old fashioned finish, and helps prevent rust around the handle. Finish on the blades is a blue scotchbrite.
All are razor sharp. The leather sheaths still need a couple of days to dry after wet molding, so they will get a coat of wax and the edge burnished this weekend, ready to ship on monday.
Shipping will be $10 per knife, and all payments will be via paypal. Please shoot me and email (powell.josh@gmail.com) or a PM and pick up one of these knives! If you like, you can follow me on facebook to keep updated with my latest work Grind Knives
#1 Differentially heat treated 80crv2 wharncliff. 4 1/4" blade, 9" overall length. 1/4" thick. Leather sheath with belt/boot pocket clip. The finish on this came out a little hazy, so I'd be happy to let it go for $145
#2 Modified drop point. $145. Black linen micarta scale, 4 3/8" blade, 8 7/8" overall length. 1/4" thick. Leather sheath with
pocket/belt/boot/IWB clip. Leather sheath has some marks on the backside, pictured.
#3 Reverse tanto, or something. $195. 4 1/4" blade, 8 3/4" overall length. 1/4" thick. Leather sheath with pocket/belt/boot/IWB clip.
#4 Straight hunter. $100 Black cord wrap, 4 1/4" blade, 8 3/4" overall length. 1/4" thick. Traditional pouch style sheath.
#5 5160 karambit. $175 5/16" 5160. G10 scales and a leather sheath with large tek lok for a variety of carry options. The snap on the retention is not quite perfect, it's got a slight slant to it, and it's a little punched out, but it holds perfectly, and does not remove from the aesthetic of the sheath. 4" blade, 8 3/4" overall length. Because of the way that this hangs in your hand in a reverse grip, it feels like a lot more blade sticking out of your hand. Leather sheath is set up for a large teklok or a paracord rig. Some mounting is required is required for a teklok, new screws and plus shortening the posts, available for $15
