Drove the wife to work today because her car is in the shop. On the way, I told her about this fantastic rifle I found at the gun show Saturday. Alpha Precision custom,
.260 Remington, with a fantastic laminated stock, I think the guy said by Bieson. This thing made most rifles feel like a club. I think it was the most svelte, lively, well balanced rifle I have ever held. I told her that in the end, the cost kept me from buying it. It was good enough that she would pay attention to my enthusiastic raving over a rifle, but then she said;

"Well. you should have bought it. Sometimes you just need to have something special."

Well, yeah, that's why I married her.

Sweet! My wife never complains about what I buy, she's to busy complaining about everything else I do or don't do!!

Nice to have a supportive woman like that, congrats mate.

Now is there a happy ending, are you getting the gun?

A woman I know recently said to me, "You have enough knives; you should buy more guns."

I really don't know what to make of that.

I had to reply to this post.

My wife used to complain everything I bought.

She used to go to Florida on vacation with friends and leave me at home, but the last 2 times she went I bought a BMW car and the other I bought a $800 dollar grill.

She hasn't been to Florida since.

Nor does she ever complain about knives.

Sounds like a real keeper Mike!

I'd ask if she has a sister, however I am doing ok here. I did get in trouble yesterday though. I kid you not, I was told that I don't treat myself to stuff often enough and that I should spend more on myself! :D

Saw the title  thought, what did that Kimbo do now :o

I have the women in my life believing I can sell any of my knives for what I payed, possibly more. ..................and they believe me ;)

So, you getting the .260 ?

After what she said, if I had enough information to track down the seller, I would get it.:(

know what you all mean about the better half's it is good to have one that likes to do what she does and let you do the same.

i am a custom collector that will not turn down a good production knife.

i have one randall and have got the desire for another, but i want a busse real bad, which one would be a good starter busse?

thanks for your time!!

Available on the Busse Company Store right now are the NMSFNO and the Skinny ASH1, Either would be a fine first Busse. My personal preference would be for the Skinny ASH1 because I view it as a more versatile knife.

thanks mike, i will take a look, i guess they are all the infi steel and all are the same thickness.

Yes, they are all INFI. The Skinny ASH1 is thinner and shorter than the NMSFNO. I don't recall the exact dimensions.

My wife is that way about knifemaking equipment. What a saint!

I told my wife that the NMSFNO was a special chef's knife that she could use in the kitchen. And my BATAC LE was my Victorinox's substitute.

Mike, I need you address. I need to send Barb to your wife for training:thumbup:

Mike, sounds like yours and mine are cut from the same fabric...

Every show she's like "what did you get?" "Nothing." "Why not? Nothing you liked or wanted?"

We are very lucky bud....

Congrats on what sounds like an awesome wife! Are you up for paid cloning? :D Spread the luck with help from modern science ;)

I suppose renting Mrs. H for Blade '09 is out of the question?:p

Oh, no! She is my "enabler" at Blade. I buy knives that I would have walked away from if she weren't there saying things like, "If you don't buy it while you can you'll regret it later."
