i have a digital caliper i paid about $30 for at the home depot. i use it quite often.recently it started flasking on and off conyinuisousl.it comes with an extra battrey i changed it and it still does the same. anybodyelse havw that trouble? ..willy

When mine does that I bang it on the bench.

I just checked 3 of mine and 2 of them have "master reset" holes that you can stick a bent paperclip in and push. This gives them a "hard" reset and should clear up most problems. Hope it helps.

The new battery is likely also low. The flashing almost always means low battery.

Use a new battery. The "extra" one may be as old as four or five years. Clean the contacts with an eraser,too. Most of these take a 357/303 battery.
