I've got a cheap ass digital camera... its borrowed from a friend. I can't seem to take any up-close pics without pic coming out completely white.

I really want to show you guys how I do my pins but the best pic I have managed so far is from about a foot and a half away and is blurry. I don't have the software for the camera so I can only take a few a pics then wait to go to my friends house to view them. Are there any tips on using these cameras?

The flash might be causing the picture to go white. It may also be to bright where you are taking the picture, such as a lamp setting right beside the knife on your desk.

Good close ups require a special kind of lense called a "Macro" lense. I've seen a few digital cameras with macro focusing built into them. Some of Sony's Mavica cameras do. But, a cheap one probably does not.

Close up pictures in general are really hard to do. Everything just becomes critical.

My guess is that your camera just can't focus closer than a few feet.

Sorry.

Chuck is absolutely correct. Why dont you just take pictures an then scan them. Or some places that develop film can also transer your pic's to CDrom.
