For watches. What is your preference? I'm self winding analogue all the way. I only own one watch but it has taken many watches to get there. I think a second hand that does not appear to stop moving gives a better representation of time itself.

I wear a Seiko 5 that I can keep within in about 1-2 sec. per day of time.gov by self regulating. I got really lucky because most of the Seiko 5's gain or lose more than that. This is the second one I have purchased and will stick with them. Before the Seiko 5's I had a luminox that is also a great watch for about 10 years. But now I'm automatic analog.

Actually I wear all 3. The digital is a big plus for me at work where many times I am running more than one machine so being able to time one while the other is running is a huge help. On the weekends is when I usually wear my analogue watches from quartz to autos. Ya need a "All of the above" for me :p

Digital 95% of the time for me. I like the time, date, and day of week showing on the face. I used to pull some 12 hr days at my other job (IT) and we had to time/date stamp a lot of our work. Days used to blur by and sometimes ya forgot what day it was. I also find an alarm (or two) to remind me of things especially handy. Heck, even the stopwatch comes in handy now and then.

So, save me some time and tell me who makes the best self-winding analog watch with a smooth-sweeping second hand. :D

My answer... Rolex Sea Dweller

I wear a Citizen Eco-Drive "Ecozilla" 300m dive watch 99% of the time...That's about as analog as it gets.:D.

I have six analog watches and one digital. The only reason I have the digital watch is because of the stopwatch and alarm functions.

I have a Hamilton Kahki Automatic (which is being repaired time 2, so I may try to get a refund) which is an automatic analog.

My other is an Eco Drive Citizen.

I honestly prefer an all anolog watch myself, with a mechanical movement. But some of the quartz eco drive or kinetic drives do a good job, and should keep more accurate time.

I don't own any digital watches. 100% analog. I'd like to get at least one wind-up, but all of mine currently run on batteries or eco-drive.

Both. Analog main display with a digital window (L.L. Bean Classic Field Watch).

I have one digital watch, a Casio Wave Ceptor. I liked the functions on it. The other five are analog watches, most of them are battery powered, one of them must be winded by hand. That one is the old Certina watch that my grandfather carried. I prefer analog watches.

Well here is a picture of mine. they run like $75-85.

I prefer mechanical. It's not as accurate, but I appreciate the skill involved in creating this tiny machine on my wrist. Plus, if I need the exact time I can always check my cell phone.

Oh dear. Swatch after-sales. The horror... A shame, since it's powered by a movement (2824-2) which I can service in the dark AND with my eyes closed. Shouldn't be any problem for a remotely competent watchmaker. What's the exact issue with yours...?

Depends on the situation.

At the gym, I wear a Casio G-Shock.

Anywhere else, I generally prefer a self-winding analog watch - though a really nice quartz watch would be OK as well.
