Dillo's and Buck 110

Nice one Jeff..taste's better than chicken:D
They are starting to move back in in our area after being under 5' of river flood for 4 months last year....lotta hogs came back....got 3 so far may
get to go again this weekend.

Speakin' of which . . . do you guys who live where these critters roam free pronounce it "arm-uh-dill-uh"?

My experience with the noble beasts dates back to the mid 1970s when my family made several trips to the then new Walt Disney World. We always stayed in the Ft. Wilderness campgrounds. My favorite part of the entire Disney experience was riding around on the trams at night in the campground looking at the armadillos and other wildlife. My sister and I spent more hours doing that than probably anything else.

Life was much simpler then.

Rino, Thats the way we say it in Texas.Just like the song.:D
EEE, cool Ron with the rain and snow the bottoms have a lot of water

You didn't offend me Jeff. :)
I just think those suckahs are gross lookin'. Like bald possums.
You don't eat those do you???

You beasts, these animals should be appreciated, loved, and touched with a gentle hand...not to mention served beside a large baked potato with all the fixens.

When I was in Panama back in the '80's, the predominant creature of nuisance was the Coatimundi...(pronounced "coot-a-monday")...they were all over the place...in the road, on the ball field (Panamanians are baseball crazy), they'd come into your hootch if you left the door open...

No relation to 'Dillos...or to this thread either... :D

I re-read the thread and saw it was a Ruger .22.... is it a Redhawk?

Messy.It's called a Ruger Mark 2, I think they made a 1, 2,and 3.
Mine is the Mark 2.It's a self loader not a revolver. Goose ,Don't tell anyone
but that is ribeye's on the grill.
I know some people don't hunt so I am slow to put up hunting pic's.
Two funny Tony.
J.B. I like to eat the above also.Cut them up with my Buck 110.

Never having seen an armadillo in person, I can't help but wonder how tough their skin is, and if they're a pain to dress...?

puukkoman, There shell is very tough. It's hard for other animals to bite through.Maybe not as hard as a turtle but close. You can just roll them over
and cut out what you want.Buck 110 is just right.:)

Ok, thanks Hawkeye. We are not allowed to hunt with self loading handguns or rifles here in PA so I wasn't even thinking of the Mark 2. They are a nice pistol.
