Res-C is where it's at. I will say the Hell Razor is pretty light and nimble in hand. Love the 7/32" stock. Perfect for an all-arounder. Not too skinny, not too fat.
 
Got a pleasant surprise when I went to the PO yesterday: HELLRAZOR!!!! I had never gotten a shipping notice. It was like Christmas!!

This is a keeper. As shown in previous photos, just a smidgen shorter than the BGSFNO, but with the weight, size, thickness, grind, it strikes the perfect balance between slicer, sticker, and even chopper. I really love this knife. This is the first one that I really wish I had bought two!
 
Mine came yesterday. Despite being so similar in size to the SFNO, the HR feels much more nimble. Just goes to show how seemingly suttle changes in blade width & thickness and the use of a fuller can make a big difference. I also like the partial swedge to make it more stabby :)
 
Thank you! I agree. Loving this blade, almost as much as my BGTG. And I think a little better than the BGSFNO that I picked up off the exchange. Just because of the nimbleness that Ryker mentions. It is a very nicely balanced blade, IMO. 'Course I'm no expert. But I knows what I like.

The balance on the HR is right at the talon hole, just a little blade heavy in a standard grip. Feels great in hand.

I think the .22" stock and the fuller, (compared to .25" and no fuller on the BG ASH & SNFO,) give the BGHR some of the nimbleness of the old .187" INFI version while still beefing it up considerably. Out of the three, I'm glad I went with the HR. Just personal preference, but I doubt I would want to go much heavier in a mid-sized all 'rounder when my frame of reference is the JMD and B8.

I imagine the B8 will have a significant edge in chopping despite being lighter overall due to how the weight is distributed (edge geometery aside), and I'd probably prefer having a B8 on my belt than the HR, but it's hard to say much until I actually use it. The initial impression is that it's just a killer blade (especially with the d-guard on it :D) and I plan to use it. I have a yuuuge poison ivy rash* on both arms right now though, so all it's cut this week is some cardboard.

*Pro-tip: I am an idiot, don't be like me. When you're out clearing vines and honeysuckle in a wooded area, it doesn't matter if it's a beautiful spring day and the poison ivy hasn't leafed-out yet, WEAR LONG SLEEVES!! I think I unwittingly chopped through a branch-sized vine of the stuff with my 1311 and the oil sprayed everywhere.

Have you been to a doc? Might be worth it, get some predisone. It can be strong stuff, but it does a pretty good job of knocking out poison ivy.
 
Yeah, I went to the Doc fairly early into it, but the bums wouldn't give me Prednisone, just a topical steriod. I'm getting by though.
 
That is one nasty case of PO, hope you are starting to feel better. In my younger days I cut up a fallen tree that was wrapped in 2" thick vines with a chain saw during late winter. One of those hard learning experiences.

Dinged for tanker and black Micarta. I noticed today that I ordered this on Thursday night so I was pretty late to the game that week.

I really like the darker look on this run of black Micarta.
 
I was dinged for mine yesterday, ordered in November.

It was pretty much was love at first sight. Looking forward to seeing how it handles.

Hope I'll be able to order a nice kydex sheath soon for it.
 
Has anyone been dinged for the BATAC yet? I ordered both the Hell Razor and the BATAC and am overseas so imagine they would want to send out 1 package with both in. Iv'e not been dinged for either yet.

Dinged today for HR BG and BATAC BG, both at the sam time, both in sage with black canvas.
