Dinged for AK47

So I decided to gift my AK to my wife. She said she wanted my Gladius but it is too heavy for her so I decided by giving her that she will be more open to my other blade purchases

I employ a similar strategy with my wife except with shoes~
 
The AK will be here Friday! Whooooo!!! I'm taking the day off to do some serious ninja yard work.
 
UPS guy came early - too early for me to be functional. I managed to get to the door & sign for it, then went right back to bed. The box is, maybe, 12 ft from me right now - calling me - but I haven't had my tea, yet. I've got a meeting in a little while...not sure if I'll open it before I leave; or when I get back home.
 
I got my black and tan today, What a good wake up call in the morning around 9:30. UPS was never here that early before.

Anybody have an INFI AK too? I'm curious of the BG's are pointier than the INFI AK's.

Here is my INFI AK...I don't have a BG to compare to unfortunately. I am also curious as to the differences between the two.
 
Mine will be here tomorrow. Can't wait! I was just sitting with a tape measure getting an idea of how big really is. WOW is all I can say!
 
The BG AK-47 is the same specs as the Infi according to the Busse Collector-same specs-only difference is the SR-101 vs Infi

Got mine today- Black blade, Tan canvas. The Tan canvas is awesome. My last few have been light but this one is a dark brown color, really sweet looking.


When I picked it up I noticed the balance felt different than my INFI one, so I compared it to my INFI one, I noticed these have more curve in the blade, or the blade is tilted back more than the INFI ones.
Took some comparison pics.
The first two pics are of them on a 2x4, with a 2x4 on top of that and the back of the swords butted up to it.
(notice how the BGs butt and tip both touch the 2x4 and the middle hump is a little bit away from the 2x4, and how the INFI ones butt and middle hump touch the 2x4 and the tip of the blade is a good bit away from the 2x4)

How do the edges compare? I sometimes feel like sr101 blades are ground a bit thinner, or at least are less likely to have the house-brick type edges you sometimes get on INFI knives.

Seems like a standard Busse edge honestly, kinda thick. Says it was sharpened by beef.
I've had that INFI one for years and it's been sharpened, beaten, dinged up, and resharpened a lot. Honestly I forgot what the edge was like when I got it.
 
UPS arrived earlier than usual today!!! :D :cool:

These Battle Grade AK-47's are the shizzle!!! :cool: The blade has the perfect amount of curve to it. Should society break down in some way or another, one wouldn't be too under-gunned with this in most situations. Unless you ran across someone with a Busse Butaniku of some sort. ;)
