anything im missing?

Jacob, A dinging hammer is used in metal work to remove dings from sheet . It is also used in body work to remove dents and ripples after repairs. You use it while holding a flatter or a flat block on the other side. They are sort of a rough planishing hammer.

Five hundred hammers won't make a blade by themselves. One ball pein hammer will make a sword in the hands of a skilled smith.

You need to get out and forge more before you start collecting hammers ( you need to get out and forge more ,period !). You have all that will be needed for now.

Quit talking about knives on the computer and go make some real knives. Spend some time on them (more than you do on the computer) and you will start learning how to make knives, and how to forge. Otherwise those hammers will all rust away.
