Dinner Knife?

Some cheap serrated knife.

The worst thing you can do to a knife is put it up, perpendicular, to a surface harder than steel. Ceramic is harder than steel. Is it any wonder my knives I've used for steak knives dull the quickest???

(Who remembers Gary Soneji beating an old hopper with a Swamp blade? Boy did he destroy that edge. LOL)

Thanks for the replies. Seems some use 'em and some won't. (There are plates available made of non-ceramic, so that can be addressed.)
