Diomedes Industries - Custom Sheaths for Fiddleback Models.

Tal,
The walnut/maple Woodsman from Andy is on the way to you. I would like a sheath with dangler and firesteel loop. I will send you an email as well.

Thanks, aquina

Hello,

I sent an email to you using this address: jmoulenbelt (at) hot mail (dot) com

I have not received an email from you so I thought I would see if we can make contact on here about making a horizontal sheath for my Fiddleback Forge Ladyfinger. I need to know the cost for making me one like the sheath pictured above and what you will need from me to do so.

I didn't purchase my knife directly from Andy I made my purchase from Knivesshipfree.com but was hoping I could get you to make me a sheath anyway.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

He must be pretty busy these days..sent him my Palmer about mid-August - hope it hadn't gotten all rusty! ;) By mid-September he was shooting for "a couple more weeks." It was too hot in his workshop to be working then, but if it's anything like here it's too durned cold now! :) Supposed to be in the low 20s tonight. In West Texas, that s@*t aint right!

Where you at, Tal?

Chainring and others. I have not forgotten about you. Life has gotten really busy. I have three more sheath to make to get caught up. Here are the orders I have:

Raining - Sheath is done - I just need to make the dangler.
Chainring.
Rotte
Andy - Leather is cut.

I will get them done as promised - but I think I am going to take a break from making sheaths for a while. Between life getting busy and priorities changing - I have lost a lot of my drive, and don't want a wait like my customers have right now. I have not taken any more orders and will not until I get caught up.

Tal,

I understand you decided to take a break for a while, but then I saw something that made me think you might be back. If you could let me know one way or the other, I'd appreciate it. I'd likely be looking for a rounded angular or countoured belt sheath with dangler and firesteel options to go with a Guardless Ladyfinger Variant.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I emailed him about a sheath maybe six weeks ago without response. I hope he starts up again as I have three of his fine sheaths and need more.

He's got a plate full of family needs to see to, and is out of the game for the time being. He said he's sending my Fiddleback Palmer back to me (see above) so it's time to go to plan B!

I, for one, am going to get Wildmanh (Heber, who is doing the sheaths for Andy's machetes) to make a horizontal sheath for the Palmer. I have a thread showing his machete sheath pics, and I am VERY pleased with his work.

That having been said, I hope Tal gets things squared away and is able to put some time into leatherwork again someday soon.

Chainring is right. I have my hands full and just can't get to anything with any speed right now.

I need to talk to Andy about getting my thread un-stickied for now.

Oh - it is working out. I have two surgeries in the family and I swear every appliance and plumbing issue that could be imagined has happened lately. I suffer from anxiety and do a great job of immobilizing myself in these situations.

I will dig out. My thinking is to make simply Arete sheaths and offer them only when they are made when I get my head out of my a.... I mean above water.

I love the family here on BF and this forum - you guys are great.

Chainring, in particular, has been flatly awesome. He is one of the most stand up guys I have had the pleasure to know on this board.
