I can't seem to find the answer to this question anywhere, which is perhaps an answer in itself.

Does Direware use steel lockbar inserts, or does the titanium lock bar directly contact the blade?

Thanks!

Looks like no lock bar inserts from the pix. Dem knives sure are purdy.

Thanks! I'm assuming the little hole in the end of be lockbar is for the LBS (stabilizer). Hard to tell. Some manufactures do a damn good job of hiding inserts these days. Thought someone with a Direware collection might have a definitive answer. 😀

I appreciate your help.

I had a Direware Solo V5.
There is no steel lock bar insert, and there is no lock bar stabilizer.

There is a over-travel pin, but its completely hidden from the outside and you can't see any evidence of it unless you look inside the lock side scale with a flashlight (pretty cool way they set it up)

The hole in the lockbar end is for the detent ball. Two things, if I remember correctly, Direware uses a ceramic ball as the detent and applies tungsten carbide to the titanium lock face.
