Direware Solo V4 vs Medford Praetorian Ti

Direware all the way, if you can get one that is, its sleek like a stealth bomber, the medford looks like an APC. :)
 
Direware. Neither are the most efficient cutters but the Direware is comfortable in the hand and the technology, materials, craftsmanship and customizability are amazing. The Medford was one of the most uncomfortable folders I've ever held. The overall finish was blotchy and rough.
 
They are not even in the same league. Direware is one of the best, Medford is :thumbdn:
 
Direware's are too small in my opinion. The Pratorian Ti is a tank and has the size to prove it
 
Direware all day. I was at the NYCKS yesterday, and I flipped and handled several Hypers and Solos. My god, for such overbuilt folders with thick handles and equally thick blades, the ergonomics were AMAZING. Effortless action, precision lockups, and some of the most intriciately contoured handles I have ever seen and held. They were among the few knives at the show that I felt like I should have pulled the trigger on, but I had my eye on a couple of sleek, dressy folders.

The Medfords are also overbuilt, and definitely look capable. That's about it though. Felt chunky in-hand, just massive. Grip ergonomics were severely lacking, and a couple of them couldn't be opened easily. None of the flippers opened unless you used a little wrist action.
 
They are both silly in their size but at least the Direwares have good action and argos. The Medfords are just silly.

With a Direware, you see style and amazing ascetics. Then there is the build quality.Omg!
The Medfords are a completely different style. Minimalistic, no frills, and the end of civilization capable.
The Direvware is along the lines of a Porsche. And the Medford is Ford F250 super duty.

I really like a Korean truck :barf: crack :) Now that was pretty funny. I usually try to avoid annoying anyone here. Since we all are pretty much are armed 24/7
 
Jaxx, I don't think you have much to worry about, most of the fine folks on this forum would have to run to their safe, decide which edge geometry and steel to use, make sure the blade was centered, open and close it a dozen times to make sure the action is still smooth, and finally, evaluate sharpness by using a magazine to reflect the mirrored edge applied by a contraption. By the time all that happens you could have slipped away to enjoy a cold one. ;)
