Yes sir, this is HTM. It is a variation on my Variable BroadHead.
My BroadHead is double edged and was designed to give multiple grip options in a small package and be truly ambidexterous. No matter how you draw, you have a cutting edge oriented where you want it. In a defense role, the BroadHead would be gripped with either Index or pinky finger through the hole and and then make a fist. The knife isn't going anywhere. My personal prefernce is in the reverse grip. Imagine hammering the blade into something repeatedly as fast as you can. If you have the presence of mind, you drag the blade on withdrawal, think pakal technique. No, this is not the end all be all self defense tool. It is meant as a small light weight backup. Although, I have a couple of customers who are MA practitioners who carry the BroadHead as their primary self defense edged tool. I make a single edge version for those who are more utility oriented or are concerned with carrying a double edged knife. Personally, I carry a single edge. While you have to put some thought into where your edge is, it is just as effective.
The HTM BroadHead here is designed primarily for penetration. Not cutting. However, make no mistake, the grind tapers down to the tip and that tip will cut very well. Being a very light weight back up, the concern wasn't to design a knife that would give a long lasting edge. Ti isn't good for that, even with a carbide edge.
So far, response has been awesome! Law Enforcement and Military(especially Spec Ops) have been giving some great feedback!
