Can I call something this big a dirk? I've always thought of a dirk as a small, thin knife carried by a riverboat gambler; maybe I should just call it a big ol' dirklike knife:)

Forged from 52100 steel
Heat treated to Rc 58-60 with three normalizing and two tempering cycles for a fine grain throughout the blade
Flat grind with a mat finish and forged texture on the flats
Etched wrought iron guard
Stabilized spalted and curly maple handle
Overall length: 11 1/2 inches
Blade: 6 7/8 inches
Leather sheath

SOLD delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account and email address is gldrewknives@gmail.com Please feel free to contact me with other payment methods or overseas shipping costs.

Traditional dirks can be very large. 13 inch blades.

Nothing wrong with that label. Scottish dirks don't always have a guard. Most naval dirks I have seen do. But, it is a single edge, spear point, and looks appropriately shaped for business.

That is a very nice looking knife, and an even better price. Should not last long!
