I signed up for this class, thanks to a referral from a fellow WSS member. It looks like it covers a lot of interesting topics. I'm especially interested in making a bow.

If you decide that you would like to attend, I would recommend signing on soon because the available spaces are filling up.

I tried it again and it comes up on my old Apple iMac.

You could also try going to Chris Nyerges' www.dirttime.com and clicking on "schedule". That should take you to a link for the 2009 gathering.

Would love to go, but probably won't be able to commit until well after all the spots are filled. Sounds like it's going to be awesome, maybe I can catch the next one.

rksoon: You may want to check their cancellation policy to see if it would let you hold a spot long enough to conclusively decide. You might also ask about the possibility of selling your spot to someone on the wait list, should you not be able to attend.

Matt: I look forward to meeting you there! We'll have to chat about the possibility of white seabass.

I went last year and had an amazing time. I regret that I did not take the bow making class last year.

Due to scheduling I won't be able to go this year which sucks.

I think Mike's son would have won the body weight to knife weight ratio contest if they had one. Bummer you cant go. Bran will miss you.

Hey good to hear from your. Yep he had a lot hanging from his belt that week.
I may try to make it for a night at the begining, it is a short drive from San Diego.

Love to see your family and Bran again

hey gang, thanks for looking into the event.

as for accessing dirttime, we were hacked a couple of weeks ago, to the point google listed dirttime as a dangerous site. Since then, the site has been cleaned up and no longer does a google warning come up. Still, the gallery is down as we are making improvements to it.

we have 140 confirmed registrants, so far.

We've added Adventure Medical Kits and Total Resources International as sponsors.

Dave Canterbury, of wildernessoutfittersarchery.com has also been added as an instructor. his youtube videos are awesome.

While we have listed the official classes, there is always impromptu instruction going on. Many times those are the ones that inspire that aahaa moments.

the event culminates with an evening of awards, prizes, and raffles.

it is going to be a blast...

Alan

Damn, sounds great Alan, wish I could make it.

BTW, did you ever resolve your Poison Ivy immune therapy questions?

Doc

Doc, no I didn't. there seems to be mixed feelings about the idea. The majority of medical professionals seem to feel it is a huge no no... you know what, I tend to agree even if it has never affected me negatively.

A couple questions Alan...I'm assuming the $175 tuition is for the entire week? Also if a person couldn't arrive for the first couple days would he/she be hugely handicapped? Finally I'm assuming firearms is not going to be permitted or covered in this course?

Thanks.

175 is for the entire week.

Classes are independent of each other, so they do not require one to comprehend the other.

Finally, guns are not part of the course, but one of our sponsors has donated 10 of the four day handgun course at frontsight
