Going all the way back to your first post in the thread, this knife with the etching of Peru on the blade:

Was that a special edition of the RC-3? One issued directly to the Peruvian military attendees or something? I like it!

I'll admit I have a tendency to try to avoid marking up a new knife, they are so pretty! :) My RC-4 is just starting to show some good scuff marks from splitting some wood, but I haven't really put it to hard use yet!

I think Reuben and Joe Flowers are headed back with us in May to play in the jungle and buy transvestites beer in Tamshiyacu :D

Joe just likes the transvestites. He's useless in the jungle :D

Sorry, must have missed this one. The RC-3 in question was a special run and I think only 9 were made. They were given to us after completing the 2007 Jungle Survival School in Peru, hence the Peruvian map. This is a rather old picture when it wasn't so beat up. Now it looks about 15 years old and I wouldn't have it any other way! My advice to you--use your knives and give them a few birth marks. You will like them more and if you don't want to mark it up send it my way, I'll make it real purdy!:p

Here are two older pictures where you can see the other side!

dunno if my HEST is worn enough for this thread...but it IS used often.:)
I'm especially proud of the wear around the bottle opener - I'm hoping to wear that part to bare metal ASAP. lol!

don't really know why the handles are getting so dark, but I suppose it's dirt, muck, grime, oil, etc... (last weekend I used the prybar to scrape some grease and junk away from a u-joint on the jeep on a trail)

these threads are the reason I own these knives - hard use is beautiful! :D
