When I built my GIB I was trying to keep the budget in check and went with the Grizzly 10" contact wheel. I machined it for bearings myself and did a pretty good job at maintaining concentricity and keeping lateral runout to a minimum. However I overshot the bore diameter on one side and ended up having to shim around the bearing. The wheel worked pretty nicely but, I was bothered by the fact that I had screwed up the machining and after several months I decided to buy a new 10" Beaumont wheel from USA Knifemaker. The Beaumont wheel produces an incredible amount of vibration on my machine. It seems to be machined true so it has most certainly got to be a balance issue. I tried grinding with it and it is just too much! Anyone have any idea where I might be able to get this wheel balanced?
