Disappointed in my fellow outdoorsman

That's why I always take a trash bag or two into the woods. There's always something to pick up. Don't you wish you could smash one of those bottles over their heads. I put litterers and thieves in the same category. Glad you cleaned it up.

I think they brought along a bone for the dog to chew on while they got buzzed. Looks like the cow femurs you can buy at the pet store.

Both ends of the bone were glazed and one small spot burnt.
There were grease drippings on all the rocks directly around the fire pit and this I have never seen before there. Someone was cooking up a storm and was messy about it.

that does look like that to me too. i have bought my dog a couple of those to chew on before.

same here

There are a lot of coyotes around and I know of a den not too far away but the way the claws left the holes confused me. Instead of extending straight out (forward) from the pad, they punched holes in the snow that go almost straight down into the snow. If you've ever seen a house cat break out the claws for climbing, that's what i'm trying to describe.
Maybe it is a K9 and it's momentum up the incline caused this appearance.

I always look forward to winter to see all the tracks in snow.

OOOOh that pisses me off. We have a town park that is a 38 acre wood, with trails throughout. It has been so abused by what I imagine are teenager that I rarely go there anymore. I've found tarps, suitcases, beer and soda carcasses, old coolers, underwear, tentpoles, tents, rope....The list goes on. Whenever I go there I feel like the crying indian in that old eco-commercial from the 70's

I hate that. Kids are always leaving trash and beer bottles on the beaches in the river down here.

Yeah my childhood swimming hole a little north of you was shut down by the epa for two years because of all the trash and booze. Though it was slobs of all ages not just kids.

Slobs like that drive you crazy, over the years when I lived in the country, I had to run off strangers from our ponds and woods, and even ban a few friends and family over leaving trash on the banks of our ponds and junk in the woods.

My GF and I were exploring an old logging road, when we came upon an old campsite, littered in beer cans, garbage, bonfire remains, and panties, bras, hung up on a low tree branch. All the articles of clothing had candle wax dripped over it. It was , rather creepy.

this crap is everywhere, and yet good honest wilderness types like us get hassled for chopping scrub trees and making tiny fires.

Your probably right. Must be a big doggie and that will stick in my mind when i'm out there from now on. Wood hiking stick instead of the store bought pole.

The garbage, obvious oversized fire and the mess they left cooking really irks me.
The fire they had burned over the edges of the natural pit. It wouldn't surprise me if they just left the fire blazing and walked off when they were done.

Thanks for cleaning up the area.

Yep, those are canine tracks. Either a large dog or wolf.

Kids or bikers are the only ones I know drink crap like Mad-Dog 20/20.

Man that really sucks. I wouldn't refer to them as outdoorsmen though, just some jack azz slobs.

On a side note, I'm also impressed with you actually taking a custom shop Busse out for some work  Don't post that pic in the Busse forum though, you may make grown men cry....
