Disappointing Service

I thought that since a rep from CRK replied and did not contradict that OP statement in any way, but gave their side of the story, and it seemed to me that both sides of the story meshed well. blade2klean posted that there was an issue with a new employee, and apologized for what happened " Again, I apologize that this delay has caused you so much irritation.". If there is an apology from the company, then why imply that the OP was lying?

On a side, I was polite and logical in my post and do not appreciate the tone asking me to "enlighten you" as it seems to be talking down to me, when I was just trying to bring what I felt was constructive thoughts on the subject, based on what I have experienced in life and read from the discussion of what happened in this thread. I hope that I read your tone wrong.

Kris

I agree with both your posts 100%.

Lets see, I've been called condescending (by a guy who feels CRK could take lessons from HIM), been told I think I'm the "forum police" because I believe posting that a new employee of a company made a mistake in their estimate of when a product would be available is ridiculous, etc. I've only disagreed with opinions, and have offered my opinion (sorry, shat out of my mouth my humble opinion like a 13 year old on a PS3 or XBOX forum...talk about arrogant and condescending) that is contrary to the OP.

Why is it so difficult to comprehend that there may be people who have different opinions than you, or the OP regarding how something should be handled, or what mistakes, actions, etc reach the level of atrocity that this obviously has for the OP? What exactly is it about another member posting that they disagree with the OP that what they experienced is "Disappointing Service" that rises to the level of "jumping all over" them?

I can't agree more with the post about locking this thread. It's unfortunate how often this happens here. As soon as someone disagrees with certain members opinions, the arrogance, condescending comments, and personal BS start rather than just addressing the topics.:jerk it:

It's a KNIFE, not a new heart. Yes, they mean more to people like us than to most people, but you're not going to die because you don't have it right now. A new employee of a company made a MISTAKE. For whoever it was that came up with the OP "not wanting to hear anymore" to justify them hanging up on the CRK employee....really? And what would you be saying if the CRK employee got tired of the OP complaining about this and hung up on them? They would absolutely be wrong in doing so, and so was the OP doing it. In most simplistic terms, someone made a mistake. Continue to wait for the knife you ordered, try to find one on the secondary market or through a dealer, or move on. Life's too damn short to get yourself all upset over a mistake on when a knife will be available, and right or wrong, getting yourself upset over it isn't going to get you one any quicker. They will be ready as soon as they are ready, and the positive is that you're guaranteed to get one.

There is some sort of hierarchy.

I ordered an Insingo months ago and it still isn't available to ship.

Others have received theirs even though they ordered after me.

The bottom line is when ordering a product that hasn't been made yet people have to expect certian delays. Even if they are given a time frame that is just an estimate at best and with estimates things can change.

People just have to be realistic in their expectations, if they aren't then problems will occur.

All good things come to those who wait.

All the complaining, screaming and posting on forums downing a Company won't get the knife made any faster, it will still take the same amount of time in the end.

Some people need to get over themselves and realise they aren't the center of the Universe.... ;)

Wow that was a nice solid post. Problem with forums is you have a lot of people who love to talk like they have knowledge about whatever it is that is being shat out of their mouth at that very moment and can't wait to give a "humble opinion" to the rest of us. The OP had a problem and posted it and people jump on him for it. I could go read this drivel I see here posted by 13 year old fanboys somewhere comparing PS3 to XBOX, wouldn't be that far off.

Uh, yeah, whatever.

Wait a minute........hold on.........You can order a Chris Reeve knife with INLAYS TOO??

This is about the worst thread I have ever read, complete waste of time. So I feel I need to add to it:D.

No company is perfect we all know that. Yes it sucks when a deadline is not met, end of story.

I think that pretty much sums it up. You could delete the other 3 pages of garbage.

Look, i ordered my first Sebenza 21 from CRK in April, and they told me three to four weeks, WELL, it took about seven.

I called them, and wanted to know "what's going on", and all that, but it eventually came.

I'm glad i'm ordering a knife from a company that can't keep up with orders because they put out an extremely popular, super quality product..

(oh, and i'm super impatient too) but i got over it:)

It can definitely go both ways. When the 21 was first announced I called in and ordered one, Heather said I would get it in about a month. I got less than 2 weeks later.

Letting others know of a problem with the company may also get others who are experiencing the problem to speak up as well, and some times on BF greater problems come to the surface. This is common throughout societies. Nobody wants to be the first, but will help support others who have been through the same thing. Why should the OP not inform others of this- it is his right as a member of the forum.

The OP joined BF in March, and since then has made only two posts one of which is this trolling CRK bashing thread.
He hardly qualifies as a participating member of BF.
I notice he fails to mention his bad manners in hanging up on Heather while she is trying to help him and solve the problem.

I am in no doubt that the OP was VERY economical with the truth and as such his thread is trolling and CRK bashing for no good reason.

Supporting that behavior is wrong.

This is quite an amazing post. My son just returned from Afghanistan after serving there with the 9th Marine division. After looking at his pictures from that 7 month period I am ashamed at what I think is important in my life. If we put this topic in perspective there is a big disconnect between what we think is important and reality. Perhaps this attitude of entitlement that we all display from time to time should be checked at the door. It appears that you did not get what you want in the timeframe promised. Certainly there is disappointment on this but is it in proportion to the actual problem? If the apology that was made is not enough for you what else can be done?

CRK has ALWAYS been honest and displayed integrity in all their business affairs. I would recommend you take your business elsewhere. With the attitude displayed here you will never be satisfied with the product or the personal apology.

Well said Sir.

BTW, PLEASE thank your son for his service for me.

He may not be a classic troll, but his contribution to this subforum has not been valuable.
