Disassembly pics?

Here is the inside of a Sencut Tynan. It's a $50 steel frame lock with a 10Cr15CoMov blade. (That's a Chinese analog of VG-10.) The lack of over-travel stop doesn't bother me. However, the lack of capturing on that pivot does.

I don't think my other Sencut knives have captured pivots but those haven't been a problem. I took my Snap apart twice, once for "new knife orientation" and again to install Skiff Bearings. (Yes, it was good enough as a $45 knife to merit $12 bearings.) I did both at the same time on my Sencut Neches, which is another fantastic budget knife. I'm guessing that the friction from the scale material was just enough to stabilize the pivot on those knives. I did not need a second T8 for disassembly or reassembly on either.

Here, the steel on steel slides freely. I needed to engage both sides for both disassembly and reassembly. Micro-adjustments in search of proper tension were a pain. I did not install Skiff bearings due to my unhappiness over this issue. Of course, one of the main benefits of that upgrade tends to be an increased range of proper tension. Still, this is a shame given everything else I like about the knife.

This is a switchblade I made.

I made it from a boot knife. Here are some progression pics of the project.

Here's a video of the knife-

Here's another one I built from a boot knife, but I don't have a "disassembly" pic.

This one required a little tweak as before the detent was basically non existent. A little sanding of the washers and a clean up now she flicks out well enough.

That double detent is interesting. I used to have a CQC-7 and remember having that. What I didn't realize is that it's designed for adjustability. That's pretty cool.
