For reasons unknown, my puter went into a death spiral this weekend, resulting in my spending most of Sunday night rebuilding my hard drive.

ALL my email, address book, and link files are GONE! Poof!

While I have most of my knife orders written in hard copy, some of the last few are not. Also, I depended on the email records for the details of each order, so while I have a name and know they are to receive a knife, I may not know which knife in the shop belongs to whom, and what handle materials and finish it is to receive.

I need HELP!

I can rebuild these things if those with whom I've corresponded will email me (that'll help me rebuild my address book), and if those who have knives on order will send me a quick rundown on what their knife was to be. I am especially concerned about a couple knives which are due for delivery this month.

Gus, I especially need to talk to you...

Hey, you have one of those folders with the talonite blade and all the crooked holes drilled in the handle you are making for me. Oh wait, thats the cat not the mouse, sorry I got you two confused

Hey, are you sure Tom Mayo didn't get in your computer and drill some holes in something he wasn't suppose to?

Seriously though Jerry, I hope you get that thing fixed. I know these things are great but its terrible when something happens to them. Take care.

You are a very funny man!
I should put this in the maker forum but heres a shop tip for you:
1) Move your computer into another room where you arent grinding steel and micarta
2) Cover it with a big sheet
3) Use your shop air to blow all the micarta and 3V dust off at least one a week or whenever it gets at least .250" deep, whichever comes first
4) Relax.......I wont be over for at least a year!!!!!

Yeah, and do like Tom does and drill a bunch of holes in your computer case to ... keep it cooler! This will help you avoid any future hard-drive crashes. And if you want to save on your electric bill, drill a bunch of holes in your house for ventilation purposes. And if you want your car to go faster, drill a bunch of holes in it's body, and if your dog is too fat, drill.....

Sorry, Tom, couldn't resist.
