Disco' Sucks!!!

Same here, gotta get another one before they disappear.

Another "long time no see"...

How ya been Ravaillac? If you are talking about the DPT, you will be fine, as they will continue sales of that model in Europe.

Thanks though, and God bless!

Man, I always wanted an MPT but hadn't gotten around to getting one yet. Guess it's now or never. :(

Aloha Creepo,

Welcome to the madness!

Well, it's "now or never" if you are gonna get one directly from Boker. (They are going CHEAP right now BTW). However, I think online stores will still have some in stock.

God bless and thank you!

Carry my Subcoms all the time and have been meaning to pick up the desert. Guess I better hurry it up.

Whoa...snuck in while I was posting!

How ya been bro? Ahhhhh, the DSF...well, I been meaning to grab some KILLER Kydex by you so I guess I better hurry up also!!!:p

Mahalo bro, and God bless!

Been good man. The Subcoms are IMO perfect designs. The FB is best small fixed blade out there, and I've handled a lot. The F is always in my watch pocket. Tiny knife with lots of belly. A D2 version would be nice though ;).

:p...That was...brief and to the point! :p

Hey mahalo much Amigo...BTW, did ya get "it"?

Hope all is going well, and prayers sent.
God bless Amigo!
Yes I did and MUCHO GRACIAS :D. Been meaning to try and catch up on my emails :o

Onya bro!

Yeah...MPT's are going. I am wondering if anyone has a MPT Black CE with "CLB Designs" on it, as opposed to the initial run which read, "CLB KNIVES"...

Er...as for the MPD...:foot:

God bless bro, and "no worries"!!!;)

Ouch!!! Sorry to see some of those great knives go bye bye...specially the MPTs, Those are great knives even though I hated mine when I first got it...Now it's an EDC, I wouldn't leave home without..I carry mine each and every day and Love that knife....That being said Chad I have one of those Black CE with CLB Designs on it...#0720...Doc:D

I'm really surprised about the drop point Trance. Everyone I know owns one, including myself, and it's a great knife. Well, I guess the way you could look at this Chad is it makes room for more new CLB designs! :)

+1 in stunned bewilderment over Boker's decision to disco the Drop Point Trance. That $30 knife has booted the more expensive BM 943 Osborne and Mini Grip out of my pocket and I'm not alone. It's received more consistently positive reviews in the knife community than any other I can think of. The "poor U.S. sales" are a marketing failure, period. The DPT is an "online-only" knife- you never see it in the stores. If Boker had succeeded in getting the Trance into more retailer cases next to the SubComs (not to mention the inferior Leeks and Delicas, etc), they'd be prepping a G-10 Sprint Run of the DPT instead of killing it off. Thanks, Chad, for the great design.

Sitting Bull, all due respect, but I fail to see how poor US sales can be blamed on the marketing department. I beg to differ that the DPT was only an online knife. I carried it in my store...yes It did sell, but I sold twice as many Subcoms and Delicas and three time the amount of Leeks then I did the Trance. I think it had to do more with visual appeal. No matter how many times I sang the praises of the Trance...people would pass it by for a more visually appealing knife...Different strokes for different folks kinda thing....Doc:D

Doc, I appreciate the perspective of a retailer. It must be interesting to witness the point-of-sale knife buying process first-hand, especially how people react to your recommendations. My opinion was formed from an admittedly small sample size of two experiences at Bass Pro. Both times, I chatted with people who were handling SubComs and were clearly impressed with the cool factor. Both ultimately chose larger Gerber knives roughly the same size and price point as the Trance- a Torch and I didn't catch the other model but it was something skeltonized. I remembered thinking at the time that it was a shame the "larger SubCom" wasn't there to be considered.

I'm curious, did you offer the DPT next to the original blade shape? If so, how did they do head-to-head?

I did offer them side by side....the Drop Point just wasn't that popular....but I'm only one retailer.....Doc:D
