Discontinued Knives you wished had a re-run/update on?

I can’t believe no one has said Slysz Bowie. Personally, it’s not one that interests me...I’m just surprised it hasn’t come up.

For me personally, I’d like to see the Spyderco Navaja and a few of the discontinued CRK graphics.
I was gonna say Slysz Bowie. I didn't start liking it til maybe last year, but I haven't made it to that price tier yet. Was bummed to see it disco'd and subsequently price gauged..

My vote would be for a new Swick entry. To make it all the more tantalizing Sal recently floated the idea of a hawkbill blade. Another model I would gladly throw my wallet at, especially if they stuck to the original sub-$100 price.

Most of you guys will probably think this is kind of stupid, but I would kill to see a run of Vic alox Ramblers. An absolutely perfect keychain knife. I lost mine a couple of years ago, and have been searching for a replacement ever since. I just won't pay a hundred bucks for a used one on that auction site when a cellidor version, new, is a fraction of the price. The alox is so thin, though...

HK axis lock
Benchmade Mini-Stryker (with upgraded FFG blade)
Kershaw's Zing ( US production with the orange handle, not the garbage that they are making overseas.)
Buck's early model 112 Ranger, with black micarta scales and old style blade geometry. I hope the slimeball that stole mine cut his thumb off with it.

Plus one for the HK Axis. What a great knife that was. As well as they Slysz Bowie. Two knives I regret parting with.

GEC Grinling Whittler in ebony.
Spyderco Para2 in M390 (that blue handle is top shelf in my book)
Cold Steel Ti Lite IV with real titanium handle. (a pocket brick but I want one)

- Production Strider PT
I have the CC and the PT auto by Protech. Would be cool to have lots of versions of this knife. I think I would really like to see an aluminum version, much like the Protech, but a non-auto with a button lock.
- Microtech Mini Socom
Things I like about the older Socoms include the fine jimping (vs the new fat jimping), the use of a pivot bushing and recessed wavy washers (vs ball bearing and no bushing), cleaner look IMO, and fine blasted finish. I like 154-cm but an upgrade to XHP, M390, or S35vn would be sweet.
- AFCK liner lock , G10
My father found one of these, then lost it years later. I have always wanted one.
- CRKT Apache
I had one of these and lost it years ago. I think it was like $35 new and came with ATS34. Awesome little knife. Would be cool to see it come back with a deep carry clip and maybe a steel upgrade.
- Bradley Alias/Alias 2
Never had one. Really would like one. Would be cool to see one with a CF show side or G10

Aw man, I used to have two Strider PTs now I don't one a single one. Been looking for a PT with the digicam for a couple of years now (one came up a few months ago on the forums but of course I see the listing way too late), but with Strider out of business I doubt they'll ever show up again. Same with the Bradley Alias, Never had one but like to try one out sometime.

ZT 0777, bring it back in 20CV, keep the cost at or under $240. Update the 0770 to be a manual knife on bearings. Upgrade all KVT knives to ceramic with a ceramic detent. Such is my wish list from ZT since something like 2014.

This is probably one of those "I didn't know I needed one of these until I thought about it" scenarios for me. Always found the 0770 to be a bit too flat for comfort, wouldn't mind ZT re-releasing it with some more contoured handles. It's a shame cause they know people like the design with their "recent" release of the Kershaw Natrix, maybe somewhere down the line we'll get a 0775 or whatever. Here's to hoping lol

Spyderco Tim Wegner Jr.
Was my first really nice pocket knife and I carried that knife for years until it was wore out.

It's not really a discontinued model but, I would like Kershaw to come out with a non-assisted Blur. Offering it with G10 scales would be a plus. :)

I think that is a perfect idea. I'm of the opinion that the Rambler is as good as it gets as far as a small multi-tool-ish piece, and the alox is a perfect venue for it.

I've seen the alox version with filework on it, and just about pulled the trigger... but you are right... 3 figures for a Rambler just doesn't make good economic sense.

I'd love to see a run of alox Ramblers.

And a mini AFCK... and a HK 14716

Being a knife enthusiast for a couple of years now, I've seen many manufactures retire older models of knives to make way for new models to take their place.

However, if you could see one retired model come back with a modern updated iteration or just a simple re-run, which knife would you choose?

I personally wish Benchmade would bring back a production version of the 710 McHenry & Williams with more blade steel variants and more modern options for the grip of the knife. Looking for one of those gold-class variants (or any variant really) is like looking for a unicorn in the wild...

There are many but most of them would be ZT models that were limited runs. I wish that KA-BAR would rerun their EK/Spartan in S35VN. Chris Reeve should rerun the Impofu. I'd buy all of these in a heartbeat.

I've never thought abt discontinued models. I only buy direct from the manufacturer or a highly respected store. I do not buy on the secondary market so if I miss them, I'm out. There was an article that came out today that said that as much as 40% of the 3rd hand market is composed of fakes.

Spyderco Wayne Goddard would be sweet with a couple of updates. I definitely would want to keep the micarta handles.

Spyderco Manix 1.
I just got the Manix 2 lockback and the linerless construction and new G-10 texture really caught me by surprise.
Lockup is perfect and has a great solid feel.
This would be a perfect linerless platform for some great steels and at some point release a "just under" 3" mini model to complete the set.
