Typically when I buy a knife it's a decent one, I have a hard time spending 60 when i know for 80 I can get a far superior blade....I am however, a fan of buying less expensive blades IF they offer me good materials.....examples being the buck vantage (G10 / S30V), Boker Titanium Drop Point (Titanium / 440C), Tenacious (G10 / 8cr13MOV).

Now these are the "top of the line" materials, but for the 30-40 price tag of the above listed blades, I think they're pretty good.

Can you guys think of any others that off this sort of low cost / high value material ??

Thanks

Kershaw Lahar and the rest of the Tenacious line come to mind. Really a ton of Kershaws fit this description.

Even better. Kershaw blems. being able to get a ZT 0200 with one tiny chip in the coating for 85 bucks shipped is the kind of deal that i like. i so far have found no one else who does this, or at least how i can get a hold of the end product. A kershaw energ II for 25 dollars, non blem. they were being discontinued, and so these were the leftovers. a kershaw skyline with a blemish i still haven't found for 10 bucks. those are knives i can afford.

It's a little harder for me to get these deals living in Canada. I have been lucky with my local shop that offers incredible deals compared to most. ie up here people regularly pay $100 for an Endura, My shop sells it for $55.

Yeah Kershaw/ZT blems come to mind. But really, I'm perfectly happy with AUS-8 or 440C or any of the older stainless steels in popular, affordable folders like the Dozier line from KA-BAR, or the RAT-1 from Ontario, etc. Cold Steel does a great job with AUS-8 in a lot of their folders and that Tri-Ad lock is really nice.
