After many great deals with Brian I placed another order (about 100 USD) in February. The knives were in stock and were sent 02/25... I never received the order and that is when my troubles started.

I waited about 3 weeks and sent e-mail to Brian, then another one, another one..etc. After I mentioned my bank (I paid with CC) Brian responded that he would send me some forms to fill out and that he would refund the money. BTW I never asked him to send the knives uninsured.

Another month passed and no forms, no refund. Also my e-mails are ignored....

I now work with my bank to get the refund.

I guess that I finally learned that the cheapest is not the best... well...

Not another complaint!

Man...

I hear a heck of a lot about Brian not answering his e-mails. Still as you said, cheapest is not always best. Give Mike Payne a call! He is greeeeeeeaaaat on price and looks after you! And that is a rare thing nowerdays!

I would forget it and move on. He obviously can't give a ****... Buy from some of the good dealers on this group. God knows there are plenty of them!

I bought from brian 2 years ago and I received great service and the knife arrived on time. Last year I bought from him and once again I received great service and the knife arrived on time.

I emailed him several times this year and it took a long time for a reply. I think his business has grown and he can't keep up with the increased demand.

I recently bought from Scott at www.bladeshack.com and I highly recommend them because I searched the web for both price and service.

I see a lot of post from outside the states. The United States Postal Service is opening packages. They have been opening mine. I have heard that they and the custom agents I aquiring the good stuff. I would recommend not buying anything that has to cross seas. I was faced with the same problem trying to aquire a switchblade. In defense of Brain. I have alway got my order within a week. I have never heard of him "screwing" anyone. Having a good price means he is busy. Like any other business it means you wait.

I have ordered many knives from States (and from Brian as well). I am not blaming him for not sending the package, it is not his fault the package got lost. I am blaming him for lack of responsiveness, not answering e-mails etc. More than month ago he promised me that he would send me forms to fill out (so he could probably get the insurance) but nothing arrived yet. I had no chance just to inform the bank. I am receiving many letters from states - only those sent by Brian are being "lost"???.... I guess not. I was willing to solve this without the bank involvement but Brian did not give me the chance to do it.

David

PS: I do not see reason why US customs should open packages going out of the country, especially when they contain legal stuff....
