We made this axe months ago. Its set on the shelf all this time, its only been tested. We were trying a new hot slitter and the eye didnt come out perfect. The top and bottom are just a little too long in opposite directions (shallow)..Dosnt affect the handle fit at all..Its tight as a drum, just dosnt look right. Didnt even know it until the handle was in :grumpy:
Its a fine axe, function wise. Wouldent let someone have it if it wasnt..Hair popp'n sharp and holds a great edge.Eats wood up!.Its made from 4140, edge hardened and tempered.**The poll is also hardened and tempered just like a hammer** You can see the temper line if you look. The cutting edge is 2 1/2" wide and the head plus poll is 5 1/2" long appx. Its too good of a axe to leave on the shelf and we dont need it. So someone can have it for $35 plus $9 shipping. We will make a edge sheath ofr $10 extra if the buyer chooses, just allow one extra day to ship. Our paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
Thanks and if you have any questions, fire away...Even though its discounted it still comes with a warrenty on the head..If it ever breaks, etc we'll buy it back or replace it..Same as always..Have a good one

That looks like a great camp axe you should make them regularly and sell them here.

I own two tomahawks and I love them but they are way better for throwing than for chopping. I mean they will chop but no where as good as a normal hatchet/axe. So I will keep my tomahawks for throwing and get a little camp axe like this.

Just got finished looking at your web site. Not that often you see a woman blacksmith. Pretty cool if you ask me. Keep up the nice work and would be looking for a nice axe if you make a utility style for the old wood pile. Martin

Thanks, Lisa is a quick study. I still help with a lot of aspects but shes doing well. Im looking at building her a demo forge soon. I think shes wanting to demo at the craft fairs this year instead of just setting up and selling..

You are killing me Kentucky, that is insane. Nice snag safetyman, enjoy it. Or better yet let me give you your money back on it. :D
