Attention:your knives,means using or ever used..not fantacy:)

I think spyderco fb01 have the best sharp-edge i used//

is probably mt Opinel #8. Edge I'm most in awe of, my 25" horn handled sirupati. Plenty sharp, and it just doesn't seem as friendly as my other khukuris. It now takes the place at the head of my bed.

My sharpest production knife out of the box was a Spyderco Lum Chinese Folder

Spyderco Moran in VG10, J. Marttiini #571 in hand forged carbon, and a Helle Eggen in a laminated stainless steel. SHARP!

I can't say I've ever been blown away by an edge out of the box. My spyderco's weren't bad, but my sharpest knife ever is a Camillus Arclite in D2. I've sharpened it using my Edge Pro and a loupe to examine the edge, and now it glides through anything like it isn't there. I like D2 now :D .

Sharpest factory edge I've ever had came from my Spydie Moran Drop Point... I thought I knew what scary sharp was until I got it.

I have 2 that I'm not sure which is sharper...

Calypso jr lt PE, VG-10, 20deg bevel, 30deg edge, 800grit

SS Dragonfly PE, ATS-55, 30deg into a convex, spydie fine and uncharged leather strop.

1. Benchmade 732 (and still that sharp, I love M2)
2. Spyderco moran drop point.

I have to agree with Eric in that the Active Duty is one hell of a sharp knife! I got to handle Danbo's at the St. Louis Knife Show and it was awesome! My sharpest is probably either my Schrade Jack knife or one of my Opinels. I really am starting to love carbon steels.

Up until a week ago, it was any Cold Steel knife. Now, I have to say that the sharpest knife out of the box, by FAR, was my new Buck 110. Their Edge 2X system is unreal. You have to see it to believe it.

I recently picked up a Frost's of Sweden "Mora" knife at the astounding price of $10.00 that has to be the sharpest knife I've ever used. I think this thing would literally split hairs. As another poster put it, "it glides thru anything like it isn't there".(Thanks Roadrunner! That summed this up nicely;) ). As a pure cutting tool, these knives are nice! It now gets used mainly around the yard and in the garden doing all those nasty jobs you don't want to put a nicer knife thru. Me LIKE!

All the best,

I got mine at a local pawn shop. They had a bucket of them on the counter.:D Here's where you can get them online for about the same price.

I just went to Ragnar's and he doesn't seem to carry Frost's. Here's a link to knifecenter of the internet who does carry them:
