Do you think a dishwasher's heated drying cycle would be enough to ruin the temper on a knife. I have a 10 inch dexter Russell chefs knife and my lady put it in the dishwasher even though I said not to. Now it seems to dull quickly and not take as good an edge as when it was new. I can't think of anything else that would have been able to cause this.
