I have been working on a display for my Busse & Kin collection. It's still a work in progress and I will post all the details soon. The knives will be held by hidden Neodymium Magnets with leather pads to protect the knife.
This is the preliminary layout nothing is mounted. I need to make room for 3 or 4 more. I have a couple that I will be offering for sale soon so Im not making space for them.

I was gonna say "Well, it's a little cramped looking because you got too many Busses!" then I realized that's impossible (and how stupid I'd sound).

Envious collection!

Love the idea with the leather and magnets to hold it in place. Those magnets, depending on their size, are no joke! Strong enough to really hurt you if you get a finger in the way!

Is this to be mounted on a wall or laying down flat like a table? I imagine the latter.

It will be wall monted, it has two doors, l will post a better picture tomorrow. I should be able to mount some smally blades on the inside of the doors.

Nice case! I really like the idea of magnets behind leather, but I’m a worrier. You’ll have to be safe with magnets powerful enough to retain the blades. One wrong move, and the knife & magnets will be working in tandem to liberate a part of you.

Gives a whole new meaning to "When pigs fly"!

Do NOT use a picture hanger to support that bad boy 😊

I'm planning on us a basic wedge wall bracket, I'm not sure what you call it but basically you cut a 2X4 at a angle and screw one side to the studs and one to the case. Then put a spacer on the bottom of the case to make it flat.

I'll post pictures as I go. Right now I'm dealing with the 3 Busses I didn't have in the layout and making room for the War Boar that I know I'll find someday...

Some really nice models in there...it's like a "Greatest Hits" showcase...

thanks for sharing and future updates! A great way to kick off the New Year!

Wow, I didn't realize it had been this long. I have had this project in different stages of nearly complete several times but I keep buying some and selling some.
Thanks to everyones interest I will be "Finalizing" this display over the long weekend and I will post new pictures ASAP...

I found some really strong magnets online and used scrap leather to keep from scratching the finish.

The white washer came with the magnets and it is enough to hold the handle off of the backing board.

I have updated it, I have sold some and bought some... I miss the Battle Shark but I bought a really nice Belgium A5 with that money so no regrets...
